What is a Mystery Shopper?
Mystery shopping is a great way to earn extra income doing what you already know;
being a customer!
Our mystery shoppers get paid to document the service levels
displayed by location staff during a typical shopping experience. The main
difference between being a mystery shopper and a regular customer is that before
you enter a location; you will have to familiarize yourself with documentation which
we will provide for you outlining our objectives. A keen observation aptitude
and proper writing skills are mandatory to facilitate the reporting of the
interaction with the location staff. The reports you complete online via our
website are used by senior management to measure the service levels their
customer receive on a day to day basis. A commitment to meeting deadlines and an
ability to maintain our professional standards are prerequisites.
Depending on the type of mystery shop that we want you to perform, the time
it takes to complete it can range from 15 minutes or longer. All our mystery
shoppers are hired as Independent Contractors which means you are responsible
for submitting your income to the appropriate tax agencies. We allow you to
select assignments that fit into your schedule and decline others that may be
too far or may not fit into your schedule. As long as you’re above 19 years of
age you are welcome to apply. If we decide to offer you mystery shopping
assignments, you would then receive a rate of pay for assignments completed to
standards dependant upon the shop objectives. Some mystery shop assignments may
include reimbursement for authorized purchases needed to fulfill our objectives
such as meals or merchandise that you get to keep! Sound interesting?
The Application Process
STEP 1 – Read the Independent Contractors agreement below and agree to its terms. After you have read and agreed to the terms outlined, you may proceed to Step 2.
STEP 2 - You will be asked to submit your personal information so we can start a
mystery shopper profile for you. Strategic Evaluations respects your privacy and
never discloses your information to any outside entity. We will use this
information only to facilitate future assignments. Additionally, we ask that you
submit a quick sample report of a recent shopping experience, so we can evaluate
your reporting and grammar skills. The quality of your submitted report will be
taken into consideration in our decision to offer you assignments or not.
Detailed reporting skills and proper grammar are what we are looking for. If you
are ready to tell us about a recent shopping experience to complete the
application process, proceed to step 3.
STEP 3 – Should Strategic Evaluations decide to use your services where/when
work is available, we will be in contact with you via the email address you
submit in your application. At this point we would then provide you with a
username and password to gain access to our secure areas.
